In years past, there always was, without fail, that handful of “It” items everyone had, or at least desperately wanted to have—Isabel Marant wedge sneakers, Céline Luggage Totes, that Kenzo tiger sweatshirt, Brian Lichtenberg’s designer parody pieces. Then, last year, street style was pretty much non-existent thanks to a little movement called Normcore, which had the fashion crowd eschewing flashy items in favor of dad-like basics.
